Our opinion on your chimney repair needs
Our chimney inspector will take photos of your chimney from the roofline upward, as well as of your fireplace, concentrating on any areas in need of repair. If it’s safe to do so, they’ll access your roof to capture hard-to-see angles. After the inspection, you’ll receive a detailed estimate and have a chance to discuss options and ask any questions, giving you the information needed to make a confident decision.

SWEEP + LEVEL 1 INSPECTION $129
Includes sweep + visual inspection
$129, approximately 1hr
A Level 1 inspection is automatically included with a chimney sweep. This type of inspection is suitable if your chimney and fireplace are functioning normally and you don’t plan to make changes to the fuel type (such as switching from wood to gas) or add a liner.

During this inspection, the inspector will:
-
Conduct a visual inspection of the fireplace and hearth, checking for any damaged accessories and ensuring firebrick was used.
-
Verify that the damper works properly and check metal components for rust or warping.
-
Inspect the firebox for any loose or missing mortar, and identify any cracked or damaged firebricks.
-
Examine the smoke chamber for any extreme offsets, holes, or issues with the liner’s support.
-
Assess the condition of the chimney crown, flashing, and cap.
SWEEP + LEVEL 2 INSPECTION $169
Includes sweep + camera inspection
$169, approximately 1hr
A Level 2 inspection includes everything from a Level 1 inspection plus a more detailed examination. Additional steps in this inspection may involve:
-
Examining accessible areas of the fireplace, chimney, and connected appliances, potentially using tools or a ladder.
-
Using a camera to inspect the chimney’s interior for cracks or missing mortar.
-
Closely reviewing the smoke chamber for any issues and ensuring the walls are smoothly parged.
-
Checking for proper expansion joints between the metal walls of fireplace units and the surrounding masonry.
-
Inspecting metal components for any signs of rust or damage.
-
Looking for signs of water damage on the roof.
-
Examining all chimney structures above the roofline, including the crown, flashing, and cap.

After the inspection, you’ll receive an email report with photos, a summary of findings, any code violations, and an estimate for repairs if needed.
